Taking a little break from the horror (like life isn’t scary enough, right?) and writing something else.
I chose this song because it is quite literally about the world ending while the singer is in the company of the person he loves. They are reminiscing on the time they spent together on their “final night alive”. And with this pandemic going on, it feels a lot like life as we know it is ending. We’re left to reminisce on the days we didn’t know would be our last enjoyable moments in the outside world. So this long is a little too relatable for comfort, but the song itself is so powerful and actually gives me a lot of writing ideas, so maybe something based off this may appear later? But a good listen!!!
I am a sucker for this song. It’s my favorite of all time, so I kinda use this song for everything as an excuse to talk about it. So here’s another excuse. The live version slaps harder in my personal opinion, but less cowbell, so take it for what you will. Anyway, I picked this song because the title is fitting for an “end of the world” scenario. Don’t fear death and comes with it. The song also makes you wanna jam out. It is very much one of those songs that you can listen to while you’re driving on an empty road and makes you feel like you’re the last person on Earth. The perfect song for an apocalypse.
(This one’s for you Durham lol) I picked this song because I feel like, at the very least, it’s a reminder to just keep moving. Life just “floats on” regardless of what happens to you or anyone else. In the end, I think we need to remember that life goes on and we need to live life as it is. “We’ll all float on okay,” after all. This situation sucks, but if we don’t laugh it off and linger on the bad, we’ll just cry about it. We will grow to be better, even if we’re struggling to handle how we feel now. Not to mention, the song is also just a bop, but it just doubles as the perfect song for quarantine.
Straight pandering and I love it! : )
